I am a qualified teacher for Multi-Sensory Impaired/Deafblind children and young people with over twenty five years’ experience within this specialist field. I have worked within various settings including: a post 16 deafblind provision, an Early Years assessment centre,and an advisory service both within a local Education Authority and Voluntary Organisation.

I have delivered training at a national and international level on courses, which are tailored towards offering a practical approach to professionals, carers and parents. I have also acted as a mentor/tutor on various courses leading to a qualification in deafblindness.

I adopt a holistic approach when undertaking assessments, and regard working jointly and collaboratively as part of a multi-professional team as essential due to the complex nature
of these learners needs.
