We invite Heads of Support Services and QToD colleagues to join us at this NatSIP online event.
In line with their Every Moment Counts Strategy, the National Deaf Children's Society are introducing new roles to support families with deaf children, particularly in the crucial early years.
The new roles are called Community Connectors and Early Intervention Advice and Guidance Officers (EIAGOs). NDCS hope that these roles will support and complement the work already being done by other specialist professionals towards our shared goal of making sure every deaf child has the best possible start in life.
Working together with colleagues from NatSIP and BATOD, during this webinar, representatives from the National Deaf Children's Society will
- set out why these roles have been created,
- give examples of the collaborative work being undertaken by staff already working in these new roles
NDCS colleagues will also answer any questions from attendees about the new roles.
This event will not be recorded. BSL interpretation will be available, thanks to NDCS.
Machine-generated captions are also available via the Teams platform.

More (three dots menu) > Settings > Accessibility
Flip the Sign Language Mode switch in the right hand panel to 'On'
Tick on the 'I am a signer' radio button in the right hand panel
Close the accessibility panel with the X box at upper right.
There will be more than one BSL interpreter attending, so you may need to switch interpreter streams when the working interpreter changes.
