The proposal is to develop a braille version of the York Assessment of Reading for Comprehension (YARC). This builds upon research carried out in the 1990s by a team from the University of Birmingham who developed the braille version of the Neale Analysis of Reading Ability (NARA) (Greaney et al, 1998).
