UCL research, undertaken for Whole School SEND (WSS) during 2018 -19 was published on the nasen SEND Gateway as A Study of the Drivers, Demand and Supply for Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) - Related Continuing Professional Development (CPD). This research was previously known as 'gap analysis' and reported on the drivers and supply of training within the education sector across SEND.
Following findings about training available to schools for Sensory Impairment, NatSIP was contracted by DfE and WSS to complete a further investigation specifically about SI. This work was undertaken during March 2019 and the report submitted to DfE. It is now available and can be found in the document library.
