Sense has published two brand new toolkits on accessible play!  The toolkits have been designed for parents and professionals, to provide them with a practical guide about how to make play activities accessible for children with multiple needs. The toolkits contain simple ideas, suggestions and practical tips on making play activities and settings more inclusive.  Each activity is complemented with instructional style videos by Sense play experts.

Sense designed the toolkits after completing their Public Inquiry into the provision of play opportunities for children with multiple needs in England and Wales. The Inquiry found that disabled children have significantly fewer opportunities to access play settings and activities than their non-disabled peers. Through the Inquiry, parents and play professionals told Sense that they need more support to learn the best ways to engage children with multiple needs in play successfully.

The toolkits are available on:www.sense.org.uk/playtoolkits and Sense can provide hard copies on request to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. in both English and Welsh.
