SeeAbility has recently been awarded contracts to expand the Special Schools Eye Care Service across all special schools in London and the South East of England.
They would like to engage with all special schools in London and the South East, as many are not yet familiar with the service and the support SeeAbility can offer children and young people with learning disabilities and additional needs.
If you are able to help raise awareness of the service, share information with schools, or facilitate introductions to headteachers and school leaders where appropriate it would be appreciated. SeeAbility are very keen to ensure that as many children as possible can benefit from access to sight tests and glasses within their school setting.

For those outside the London and South East region there is also good news as the Special Schools Eye Care Service is being rolled out nationally, with other providers delivering the service in different regions. This is an opportunity to raise awareness of the programme more broadly, as it may be relevant to schools and families across the country.
